"Wash Day" - Dry Deep Conditioning in Braids/Twists :-)

Hey There Guys!

So earlier this week, Monday, I decided to do a Dry Deep Conditioning Session, after which I decided that I didn't like that my braids no longer looked very neat, so I undid them and put them in twists,
This took me 4 hours!!! Crazy! My poor back and shoulders, le sigh LOL!

Okay so, Dry deep conditioning was pretty simple:
(1) Coated each braid from root to tip with Profectiv Mega Growth Daily Leave-in Strengthener

(2) I then sectioned the hair in 2 and rolled each section on a flexirod.
(3) I then put on a plastic cap, followed by a scarf, and sat under a hooded drier for 15 minutes.

(3) Took of the cap and scarf then coated each braid with a bit of my oil mix (Grapeseed + Castor Oil AND I added a bit or Rosemary oil to the mix this Time! - need a lil hair-growth spurt in my life right now, hehehe)

I realized that the braids weren't as neat as I'd like so I undid each braid carefully and twisted it up!
My pictures aren't coming out so great this week, please forgive me, but here are two I could actually put up in this post, lol:

Its been really easy to moisturize and seal at nights, literally takes me 1-2 minutes total since I'm in twists, luvin it!
*I've been moisturizing with a bit of tap water on my hands - running it through the twists and sealing nightly with my Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk*

I'm currently 8 weeks and 5 days post relaxer, and its going good, I'm not putting an expected date for the next relaxer....
I'm playing it by ear right now :-)
I figure less pressure on myself, the further I can stretch the relaxer/texlaxer
We'll see!!

So that's about it, I hope y'all are having a great day, and thanks so much for stopping by!
:-)

    1. Yes, gosh! And its just simple twists, not even a fancy do, and it takes so long! Lol smh. I love your hair in your pic, looks very full and healthy, so I can imagine it takes you a good while to install twists too. Ahhhh the things we do for healthy hair! :-) Thanks so much for stopping by!

  3. I love your twists. They took a long time for you to install, but just think, once you're done it's easy maintenance after that! :)

    1. Yay its KLP! Heya, I'm pretty boring with my twists: basically buns buns buns and more buns. But I like it so far, hoping I can keep up the twists/braids until April, fingers crossed! :-D thanks for having me on #thewashdayexperience

  6. Your hair is so pretty! And our twists look great! Even though they take a long time, they sure do save on manipulation and maintenance, right? That needs to be my next move lol. I'm 22 weeks post and trying to figure out what I'm going to do about getting a relaxer.
